eTEC E&C, awarded a contract of ‘CA5/OXY5 Expansion Project’ by Hanhwa Chemical Co., Ltd.
On 31st of July, 2013, eTEC E&C Limited signed a contract of ‘CA5/OXY5 Expansion Project’ by Hanhwa Chemical Co., Ltd. for 71 billion Won (excluding VAT).
As the project is to build a main process plant capable of producing 120,000ton of CA (CA: Chlor Alkali) and 200,000ton of OXY-EDC (Ethylene Dichloride) per year and also to install additional and related facilities, eTEC E&C is in charge of Engineering from basic to EPC service, scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2015.
Chlor Alkali products are used in many industrial fields such as fiber, metal, paper, batteries, detergents, food. Also recently as increasing of interest in environmental issues, those had been widely used in the wastewater treatment.
Ethylene Dichloride, making by the reaction of ethylene and chlorine, are the basic products of raw material for various solvents or intermediate material of PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride).
